Filmmor Festival kicks off: The goal is to meet women under isolation 2019-03-06 11:21:19 İSTANBUL- 17th International Filmmor Women’s Film Festival on Wheels which was declared 'undesirable' by the Ministry of Culture last year, kicks off on March 7 in İtsanbul.Filmmor Women's Co-operative founder Melek Özman said: ""With the Festival, we aim to meet with women whose lives are under isolation against all odds".   '17th International Filmmor Women’s Film Festival on Wheels ' begins on March 7 in İstanbul. 74 films from many ingenious directors in hundreds of languages of the world, workshops, panels, forums and bull sessions will be available in scope of the festival. The festival will be available in Giresun on March 9-10, İzmir on April 6-7, Mersin on April 13-14, Antalya on April 20-21, Adana on April 27-28, and Diyarbakır on April 4-5 besides istanbul.   In the festival where all events and film screening will be free of charge, the films "Agnès Varda  Retrospective Everything about Agnès", "Women's Cinema", "A wallet of my own", "Our body belongs to us", "Genders", "Feminist Memory; Ursula K. Leguin", "Women's choice: Local steps", "Wide Scopes"and a category called " Storyteller women"  will be available.   At the end of the festival, there will be awards against discrimination, inequality,harrassment in cinema in various titles such as Purple Camera.
