The first hearing of Gezi Protests is on June 24 2019-03-05 13:54:25   NEWS DESK- On the accaptance of the indictment 16 people are being charged with aggravated life sentence by İstanbul 30rd Criminal Court, the first hearing of the case will be held on June 24.   The indictment where 16 people will be tried including names like Osman Kavala, Can Dündar, Mehmet Ali Alabora, Mücella Yapıcı and Can Atalay was accepted by İstanbul 30rd Criminal Court.   16 people who are takes place in the 657 page indictment are charged with 'Attempting to overthrow the government and preventing it from fulfilling its duties' and 'Financing Gezi Protests' are tried with aggravated life sentence.   In the indictment where instead of using the words Gezi Protests, the word 'attempt' was used, many events and protests such as giving flowers to the police, standing man protest, Pride rally and unions' work stoppage was defined as crimes.   The Istanbul 30th High Criminal Court, who accepted the indictment, decided to see the first hearing of the case on 24 June.
