Sürücü called on to the Ministry of Justice from prison: Obey the laws 2019-03-04 15:57:25   URFA- HDP Urfa Deputy Ayşe Sürücü who made a press statement in front of Urfa Prison, said: " "According to the law, all detainees have the right to meet with their family and their lawyers. However, Mr. Öcalan cannot meet with his lawyers, nor his family. Isolation is a crime against humanity and should be terminated at once."   The hunger strike initiated by Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair and People's Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari Deputy Leyla Güven to protest the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan continues on its 117th day. Güven is continuing the hunger strike she started in prison from her home since her release on January 25. The hunger strike 331 political prisoners started after Leyla Güven is on its 79th day.   Approximately 10 thousand PKK and PJAK prisoners have joined the hunger strike on March 1, because the government have still not taken any steps.    HDP Urfa deputies Ayşe Sürücü and Nusrettin Maçin made a press statement in front of the Urfa T Type Prison.    Ayşe Sürücü called on to the Ministry of Justice and said: "Our comrades have laid their bodies to hunger. They have a common demand and that is the termination of the isolation on Mr. Öcalan. We are calling on to the Ministry of Justice in front of Urfa Prison. The government must obey their own laws. Mr. Öcalan is not able to see his family nor his attorneys. Thousands of our comrades are on a hunger strike because of that. We are once again raising our voices here. We are there with our comrades. Our friends in prisons are not alone. Isolation is a crime against humanity and must be terminated at once."     The press statement ended with applauses.
