'HDP election office was not allowed because it is close to AKP building' 2019-03-02 13:42:58   ŞIRNAK- Şırnak Governership did not allow HDP to open up an election office in the city center because it is so close to AKP District building.   The prevention attempts to People's Democratic Party's (HDP) election work made by public officials are adding up from one day to another. After the party was not allowed to open an election office in Mardin's Midyat district, the election office was not allowed in Şırnak city center either.   Sirnak Governorate did not allow HDp to open an election office at the city's Bahçelievler neighborhood on the Gaffar Okan Street by saying it is "very close to the AKP provincial building".     Şırnak Governor's Office of Legal Affairs issued  HDP a refusal decision; "... as a result of the detailed evaluation of the election office location,because the office is very close to the AK Party provincial building, and because of the possible security problems between the parties to take into consideration when the opening of the place as an election office was not considered appropriate"      İRMEZ: NOT LEGAL   Zeki Irmez, co-chair of HDP Şırnak Province, who reacted to the decision, said that they were facing serious problems in the elections.   Irmez, who says the government have taken steps to change the fate of the elections from a democratic ground, said that the reason for the rejection of the office they want to open is not legal.   Irmez who emphasized that the pressures and obstructions could not stop their work, said: "We will continue our election activities more intensively. Our people will give a serious answer against such pressures and obstructions on March 31".
