HDK Co-spokesperson Koçyiğit: Hunger strikes show that there is no law in this country 2019-03-01 10:26:25   MUŞ- HDK Co-spokesperson Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit who assessed the hunger strike actions continuing with the initiative of DTK Co-chair Leyla Güven with the demand of terminating the isolation against Öcalan, said: "The hunger strikes shows us that there is no law in this country and this government does not have any respect to their own laws."     People's Democratic COngress (HDK) Co-Spokesperson and Muş Deputy Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit assessed the hunger strike action Democratic Society Congress Co-chair Leyla Güven have initiated. Koçyiğit who drew attention to the fact that the hunger strikes clearly shows that there is no law in this country, said: " If people need to lay their bodies to hunger, risking death, to achive their basic human rights, to make their voice be heard, concepts like rights, law, justice, equality and democracy can not be spoken about.We see that Turkey is exactly like that right now."        'THE GOVERNMENT DOESN'T RESPECT THEIR OWN LAWS'     Koçyiğit who said there are violations of rights in all walks of life, prisons being in the first place, said:"People are arbitrarily taken under custody everyday, gets arrested, tortured, lose their jobs. They are deprived of their basic human rights. İmralı is the most obvious example for it. The hunger strikes shows us that there is no law in this country and this government doesn't respect to their own laws."
