Father whose son is on hunger strike: The government will be responsible 2019-02-26 10:38:41 İZMİR- Fesih Sayan, father of Ramazan Sayan who has been on a hunger strike in Alanta Type L Closed Prison, called on to the government to take action at once and said: "The government will be resposible of any possible negative outcome."   The hunger strike initiated by Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair and People's Democratic Party (HDP) hakkari Deputy Leyla Güven with the demand of termination of the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan is on its 111st day. The indefinite non-rotating hunger strike of the 317 political prisoners in 62 differen prisons who participated in Güven's action is continuing.   One of these prisoners is Ramazan Sayan who got arrested at 20 with the charge of 'being a member of an illegal organization' in 2016 and were sentenced to 15 years of prison time. Sayan is on a hunger strike in Alanya Type L Closed prison for 53 days today. Fesih Sayan who gave information about his son who he claims to have been tortured under custody and while he was transferred to the prison, said he was able to see his son on February 4 in the open visitation time.    Father Sayan who stated that he was not able to establish a healthy dialog with his son because the guardian was waiting on top of them, drew attention to the fact that their health controlls are not being done regularly.   Father Sayan shared his son's message where he says: " We will not take a step back and will go forward with the hunger strike until our demand is met. You shouldn't be talking about our health, you should be talking about our resistance. We will make history with our resistance. If our community engages around this resistance with awareness, we will win."   Father Sayan who said: " The government will be responsible of any possible negative outcome if they do not act fast towards a solution. The resistance of the political prisoners means the world to us and we will back them no matter what. I am proud of my son."
