The hunger strikers in Edirne Prison are not being given the necessary vitamins 2019-02-25 14:30:07   EDİRNE- The hunger strikers who are on hunger strike against the isolation in İmralı for 72 days were sent to solitary confinement in Edirne Type F Prison.  According to the information obtained, the hunger strikers are not being given the necessary vitamins.   The hunger strike initiated by Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair and People's Democratic Party (HDP) hakkari Deputy Leyla Güven with the demand of termination of the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan is on its 110th day. The indefinite non-rotating hunger strike of the political prisoners who participated in Güven's action is continuing.   Ramazan Çeper, Zerdeşt Oduncu and Adem Arslan are on a hunger strike since December 16 and Hakan Adıgüzel, Derviş İsmail and Osman Şahin are on a hunge strike since January 5 in Edirne Type F Closed Prison.   It was learned that the prisoners held in solitary confinement are not allowed to communicate with their friends and are not being given the vitamins B1 and B2 which are vital for a hunger striker. While their cells are raided regularly every morning, their books and radios have been confiscated.   The 6 hunger strikers were given a penalty of a one month phonecall ban and their visitations with their families were banned.
