'We will continue our hunger strike even if we are not even given water' 2019-02-25 10:43:48   MERSİN- Suat Uğur who is on a hunger strike for 41 days in the prison he is being kept at, stating that the prison administration doesn't  give them anything other than water and lemons, said: 'We will continue our hunger strike even if we are not even given water'   The hunger strike initiated by Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair and People's Democratic Party (HDP) hakkari Deputy Leyla Güven with the demand of termination of the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan is on its 110th day. The indefinite non-rotating hunger strike of the political prisoners who participated in Güven's action is continuing.   One of these political prisoners is 28 year old Suat Uğur who is on a hunger strikle since January 16 in Tarsus Type T No 3 Closed Prison. He was arrested 2 months away from graduating electical engineering. He was charged with ' Praising an illegal organization' for his social media shares and was sentenced to 4 years in prison. Uğur who has been on a hunger tsrike for 41 is in prison for 10 months now.   Uğur's sister Gurbet Tekin called for awareness regarding the hunger strikers.   Tekin who stated that the last time she was able to contact her brother was on February 15 and that he said they were not given anything else but water and lemons. Tekin also stated that the prison administration instructed the canteen not to give anything to the hunger strikers. Tekin said her brother said: "We are continuing our hunger strike with water and some lemons. Tell the press and Humans Rights Association (İHD) about the practices of the administration. We will continue our hunger strike even if they don't give us water. They can not break our will like that. "
