'Our silence can kill them' 2019-02-20 12:54:32 ŞIRNAK- The family of Mikail Mungan, who has been on a hunger strike for 47 days in Bandırma No 2 Type T Prison, drawing attention to the fact that in order not to see the prisoners die, the isolation needs to be terminated, said: "Our silence can kill them" The hunger strike of Democratic Society Congress (DTK)  Co-chair and People's Democratic Party (HDP) Leyla Güven who is protesting the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan is continuing on its 105th day. 321 prisoners are continuing their  hunger strike in over 60 prisons with the demand of terminating the isolation.     Mikail Mungan , a hunger striker in Bandırma No 2 Type T Prison is one of them. Mungan who has been in prison since 2011 and has 36 more years to serve, started the hunger strike on January 5. Mungan's family who live in Şırnak called on to the authorities to meet the demands to end the hunger strikes.   Father Mungan who said 'Our silence can kill them', said: 'We spoke a few days ago, his morale was high.But we can hear from his voice that he is tired. The isolation must be terminated before the coffins start coming out of the prisons. We will join the hunger strikes if necessary. It's no use to be afraid."
