
Leyla Güven's hearing will be held tomorrow

	DİYARBAKIR- &nbsp;The prosecution of DTK Co-chair Leyla Güven who has been on a hunger strike for 78 days will be continuing tomorrow.

	Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair and People's Deocratic Party (HDP) Hakkari Deputy Leyla Güven who is continuing her hunger strike for 78 days in Diyarbakır Type E Prison tp protest the isolation of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan was taken under custody because she criticized the intervention of Turkish Armed Forces to Efrin.

	Güven who was taken under custody with a raid at her home , &nbsp;was arrested by the court on January 31 after 9 days of detention.

	&nbsp;

	In the indictment prepared in late April 2018, a prison sentence of 17 years and 6 moths to 31 years and 6 months of imprisonment was requested for Güven who was charged with "establishing and managing an armed organization", "making propaganda for an organization" and "opposition to the Law No. 2911".

	&nbsp;

	Güven, who was elected as a member of parliament from the HDP in the June 24 elections, was refused for the suspension and release of his trial within the scope of immunity.

	&nbsp;

	She did not attend her hearings after November 8,2018 where she announced her hunger strike and told she will not be attending the remainder of her hearings.

	&nbsp;

	Güven whose health is detoriorating since the 60th day of her hunger strike is not able to see her attorneys. Güven was able to see her daughter and son at the 56th day of her hunger strike. &nbsp;Güven who came to the visitation with the help of companions, was not able to see her daughter after then.

	&nbsp;

	PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan was allowed to see his brother on January 12. Güven announced that a one time visitation did not mean the isolation has ended and told she will not give up the &nbsp;hunger strike until the visitation rights of Öcalan is secured.

	&nbsp;

	Güven petitioned the Diyarbakır Type E Prison administration that she does not accept medical intervention in case her health detoriorates and she loses consciousness.

	&nbsp;

	&nbsp;Serdar Çelebi, attorney of Güven who informed the public that Güven who is not able to see her family of her attorneys, will not be able to attend her hearing due to her health status but she will decide whether or not she will be attending the hearing.
