
Law suit against Journalist Demir for their news articles on Efrin

İSTANBUL - Law suit was filed against Gazete Karınca's grant holder Necla Demir with the charge 'Perpetual propaganda of a terrorist organisation' with a sentence of up to 13 years.

An indictment was prepared for the grant holder of Newspaper Karınca Necla Demir by İstanbul Chief Prosecutor's Office Press Crimes Investigation Unit. The indictment prepared withthe charge 'Perpetual propaganda of a terrorist organisation' was accepted by the İstanbul 33rd Criminal Court.

The investigation was started because of  a denunciation made to Presidency Communication Center (BİMER). The informer claimed that because of the news articles being published Newspaper Karınca was performing as a spokesman of 'PYD/PKK'.

Upon this denunciation mail, İstanbul Provincial Security Directorate have prepared a summary of proceedings for grant holder Necla Demir on May 8,2018.
