Mızraklı from HDP: Alarm bells ringing for Leyla Güven 2019-01-10 11:17:13 DİYARBAKIR- Diyarbakır deputy Selçuk Mızraklı who mentioned that health of Leyla Güven who has been in a hunger strike for 64 days now, is deteriorating and warned: " Alarm bells are ringing for Leyla Güven". The hunger strike Democratic Society Congress Co-chair and People's Democratic Party Hakkari Deputy Leyla Güven has started in Diyarbakır Type E Prison on November 8 to protest the isolation of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan is in its 64th day.   HDP Diyarbakır Deputy Selçuk Mızraklı made assesments regarding the expanding hunger strikes and solitary confinement.   STRIKE OF GÜLMEN AND ÖZAKÇA   Selçuk Mızraklı who drew attention to the developing health problems of Güven due to the hunger strike, mentioned she has lost approximately 14 kilos and has myolysis.   Mızraklı reminding of  Nuriye Gülmen and Semih Özakça, who were on a hunger strike for 324 days in order to be reinstated to their jobs, said this should not relieve anyone because doing a hunger strike at 25 and 35 is different than doing a hunger strike at 55 and 60.   Mızraklı who underlined that Güven have had operations due to her health problems before, said: " Mrs. Güven is someone who needs medication regularly. We are in  a situation in which we cannot  measure blood pressure and the destruction process in this 64-day long hunger striking  body, which we cannot test in laboratory at present. Every day after today is critical. We can face organ function loss that might threat her life. We may face liver and kidney failure. Alarm bells are ringing."
