Erdoğan have banned the İzban Strike 2019-01-08 09:46:57 İZMİR- The strike which was launched in Izmir Banliyo Network, a joint organization of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and TCDD, was postponed by AKP President Tayyip Erdoğan for 60 days at midnight. The strike started on 10 December 2018 in order to get the same salary as other rail transportation workers in the workplaces of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality (İZBAN), which is a joint organization of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and TCDD, was postponed for 60 days with a resolution published in the Official Gazette with the signature of AKP President and President Tayyip Erdoğan. In the resolution, the reason for postponement of the strike in the workplaces under the IZBAN was stated as "being disruptive for the public transport services".     Had the strike continued, workers would vote today for the last bid.The strike, which was continued by the workers of IZBAN, a member of the Turkish Railroad Workers Union, was banned by the decision of the President published in the Official Gazette at midnight.     ERDOĞAN: STRIKES HAVE DISSAPPEARED   In the statement Erdoğan made a few days ago, he said: " The thing called strike have dissappeared with our government. Erdoğan also said :" We intervene to the workplaces with the state of emergency laws that have a possibility of going to strike" this summer. AKP President Erdoğan said in their District President's meeting in August 30, : " The thing that is called strike have ended with our government. If there are no strikes, that means you are doing right by the workers, you are protecting their rights.' 15 strikes have been banned since Erdoğan came to power in 2002.
