A new definition of crime in Journalist Dal's indictment: Journalism against the state 2019-01-04 12:44:08 DİYARBAKIR- Journalist Esra Solin Dal has been charged with a 15-year jail sentence for her appointment requests from news sources with the accusations 'Organizational activities', 'Heavy accusations against Turkish Armed Forces' and 'Journalism against the state'.   An indictment was prepared for Mezopotamya Agency (MA) reporter Esra Solin Dal who was taken under custody in scope of an investigation to journalists and politicians with 142 people. The indictment was accepted by Diyarbakır 10th Criminal Court.   In the indictment, Dal's appointment requests from news sources was considered 'Organizational activity', her appointment requests from human's rights defenders regarding the deaths of women and children was considered 'Heavy accusations against Turkish Armed Forces' and her appointment request of Armanian Udi Yervant regarding the Armanian relocation was considered  'Journalism against the state'.   In the indictment  the photos of Dal taken during the press statements and the protests as a journalist were shown as "participant in action”. The indictment stated that it was not possible to obtain any evidence as a result of following Dal with a technical vehicle.   In the indictment, when the entire file was evaluated together, journalist Dal was charged with a sentence ranging from 7.5 to 15 years on charges of  being a member of an organization and that she  had committed a crime within the organization's hierarchical structure under  the KCK structure.
