Attorney of Şakçı Family : They put a confidentiality order to whitewash the murder 2018-12-31 11:04:10   İSTANBUL-Attorney of Şakçı family who underlined that a confidentiality order was issued for the murder case of Kadir Şakçı in order to whitewash the murder and added that as Platform of Lawyers for Freedom.   While Kadir Şakçı was assaulted with a fire arm and lost his life because he said he was Kurdish, his son Burhan Şakçı was heavily injured. The murder that was committed on December 16, was reflected in the press a week later. Prosecution's office issued an order of confidentiality for the case.   Bülent Aşa, an attorney from the Platform of Lawyers for Freedom evaluated the confidentiality order issued by the prosecution's office.   Aşa who stated that a confidentiality order could be issued in case the attorney's inspection of the case and sampling might jeopardize the purpose of the investigation, expressed that in Turkey confidentiality order is usually used to keep the public upinion unaware and uninformed. Aşa underlined that the confidentiality order was issued to whitewash the murder and keep the murder from reflecting to press, said: "Even though the murder was committed on December 16, the public opinion learned it on December 22.  Prosecutor's office have issued a confidentiality order when the racist murder reflected to social media to keep it quiet on December 24."   Aşa who stated that the confidentiality order in this case is violationg the right to legal remedies  and the European Convention on Human Rights' (AİHS) article 6 "Right to due process', said: "Our right to advocate legal help to the victim is being violated as well."   Aşa underlined that Platform of Lawyers for Freedom will be onto the case to the end.
