	ANKARA-The 1 year 6 months prison sentence of HDP former Co-chair Figen Yüksekdağ was approved by the 20th Penal Chamber.

	 

	The 1 year 6 months of prison sentence of People's Democratic Party (HDP) former Co-chair Figen Yüksedağ who have been tried ay Ankara 13th Criminal Court was approved.

	 

	The interview Deutsche Welle Newspaper have made witj Yüksekdağ in 2015, was considered to be a crime 2 years later than the publishing of the interview and Yüksekdağ was charged with 'Praising an illegal organization'.

	 

	Yüksekdağ's statements in the interview are as follows: "We do not have a connection to PKK as HDP. You need to prove this with documents. Otherwise they are ridicilous and arbitrary claims. We had the votes of 13 percent of Turkey in the parliamentary elections. 7 HDP members were murdered during the election campaigns. The offenders never stood trial.The people killing them were not members of PKK. PKK is an organization working for the freedom of a community. They are fighting for democracy and equality. We do not approve their ways to reach their goals. But we must accept that the program can not be regarded as terror."
