'Co-chair model creates awareness about gender inequality' 2018-12-03 10:31:28   ‘DİYARBAKIR- TJA Activist Ayşe Gökhan who stated that Co-chair model creates awareness about gender inequality and a common life model, said: " This model doesn't only cover female and male, but also covers different cultures, religions, languages and communities."   "Co-chair" systmen first introduced to the world by German Green Party and is a model of sharing the governance, was first used by People's Democratic Party(HDP) and Democratic Districts Party (DBP) followed by a series of parties and non governmental organizations.   The model that subverted the perception of politics being made by men, first practiced by Democratic Society Party (DTP) in Turkey's Kurdish cities in 2005. Afterwards, when it was used by Akdeniz Municipality while entering the elections, a door opened for Turkey in women's representation.   Liberated Women Movement (TJA) activist Ayşe Gökhan said they self-positioned themselves accordingly with Co-chair model. Gökhan drawing attention to the fact that a model that does not all- embracing is a model of rulership, said: " We define the rulership model to be rude, bossy and occupant. The government builds the state administartion on one man.  The model of co-chair against the male state system provides a change in the perspective of society.Co-chair model raises awareness of gender inequality ."
