Diyarbakir Governorate imposes a ban on all support actions for Leyla Güven 2018-11-16 14:20:21   DİYARBAKIR- Diyarbakır governorate imposed all actions and activities supporting Leyla Güven with the authority given to them during the state of emergency and blockaded the HDP District Building.   Leyla Güven who was arrested for her reaction against the Efrin Operation, for her statements and for her work in DTK since January 31 announced she was starting a hunger strike in her hearing on November 7 to protest the segregation of Abdullah Öcalan. Today is her 10th day in hunger strike and support statements keep coming one after the other. Today People's Democratic Party (HDP) was going to make a press statementin front of the Diyarbakır Type E Closed Prison where Güven is being kept.   Before the statement started, Diyarbakır Governorate imposed a ban on any actions and activities supporting Leyla Güven for 15 days. The ordinance was issued to HDP Diyarbakır District Co-chair Filiz Buluttekin. Shortly after that Diyarbakır District building was blockaded with water cannons, armed vehicles and numerous riot police. The exit of the people that were going to Diyarbakır Type E Prison was blockaded in front of the party building. Dİyarbakır Type E Closed prison was blockaded by the riot police and the armed vehicles likewise.
