Chancellor of Harran University resigned

	NEWS DESK- Prof. Dr. Ramazan Taşaltın who stated " Obeying the president is a religious duty" resigned from Harran University.

	Ramazan Taşaltın who said " Obeying the president is a relegious duty. Opposing him would mean running from war and it is forbidden by religion. We obey our president." in a TV show, resigned from his duties in Harran University.

	 

	Taşaltın explained the motive about his resignation as :" Not wearing down my University or the office of the president ". In his statement Taşaltın said he had been struggling with many difficulties since the date April 6, 2015 that he was appointed to duty, said he committed himself to look out for the nation.

	 

	Taşaltın: " But the personal things I said in a TV show are distorted to use against our President in the public opinion. That is why I am resignating from my duty to no longer wear the office of presidency down."
