
Trustee turned municipality into police station

	ÊLIH - The trustee of Êlih Municipality hung a banner reading "One state, one flag, one nation, one homeland" at the entrance of the municipality and stationed police on every floor of the municipality.&nbsp;

	Batman Governor Ekrem Canalp appointed as a trustee after the replace of Batman co-mayors Gülistan Sönük and Yeşil Işık by the Ministry of Interior. Canalp hung a banner reading "One state, one flag, one nation, one homeland" at the entrance of the municipality. With the authority of the governorship, trustee Canalp surrounded the municipality with police barriers and assigned a large number of police officers from Batman Provincial Security Directorate to “take security measures” inside the municipality.&nbsp;

	In the municipality besieged by the police and monitored by helicopter at night. Trustee Canalp also had the X-Ray device reinstalled. The X-Ray device had been removed by the co-mayors elected from the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party). The trustee also reinstated the practice of body searches and X-Ray scanning of citizens entering the municipality.&nbsp;

	On the other hand, General Services Workers' Union of Turkey (GENEL-İŞ) reacted to the news that 300 workers were dissmissed, and it was learned that the trustee hired many wives of soldiers and police officers in the municipality.&nbsp;
