US Secretary of State Blinken on a tour of Middle East 2024-02-05 14:39:23   NEWS CENTER - US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will start his 5th Middle East tour today with Saudi Arabia, and then visit Egypt, Qatar, Israel and the West Bank.   While Israel's attacks on Gaza continue, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken went on a Middle East tour to evaluate the latest situation in Gaza and the prisoner exchange process with his interlocutors. This visit will be Blinken's 5th visit to the region to date, after Hamas attacked Israel on October 7. Blinken will visit Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, Israel and the West Bank as part of his Middle East visit, which starts today.   Blinken's contacts, which are expected to reach Saudi Arabia in the coming hours, will continue until February 8.   According to the statement made by the US Department of State; Blinken will re-examine the basis for agreement between the parties so that the prisoner exchange can take place and a "humanitarian pause" can be held, and he will meet with the relevant countries to deliver humanitarian aid in Gaza.   Another topic on Blinken's agenda, which will also hold diplomatic talks with Israel for Palestine, will be the latest situation regarding the Houthi attacks in the Red Sea.
