Police raid on PSAKD: Many people detained

	ISTANBUL - Police raided PSAKD Sarıyer Branch. Many people were detained in simultaneous house raids.

	 

	Police raided Pir Sultan Abdal Cultural Association (PSAKD) Sarıyer Branch Zeynep Yıldırım Cemevi in the Armutlu District of Istanbul's Sarıyer district early in the morning. The door of the association was broken in the raid, which was carried out when no one was inside. It was reported that some documents in the cemevi were confiscated during the raid.

	 

	The police raided many addresses simultaneously with the raid. Many people, including the cemevi director Dursun Çiçek, were detained during the raids.

	 

	On the other hand, Alevi organizations announced that they will hold a press statement at PSAKD Zeynep Yıldırım Cemevi today at 13:00 to protest the police raid on the cemevi and the detentions.
