Journalist Gulo: People are looking for a solution on Syrian territory 2023-01-07 12:33:59   RIHA - Drawing attention to the Turkey-Syria meeting and Journalist Stêrk Gulo said: “People are looking for a solution on Syria. As long as the will of Northern and Eastern Syria is not recognized, there will be no solution."   Continuing its attacks against Northern and Eastern Syria on November 20, Turkey has not yet received the approval it wanted from international forces for the ground operation. The AKP-MHP government is attempting to re-establish its relations with the Damascus administration, which it cut in 2011, in order to achieve its goal. For this purpose, on December 28, 2022, Turkish Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar and Head of the National Intelligence Organization (MIT) Hakan Fidan, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu and Syrian Defense Minister Ali Mahmud Abbas held a meeting in Moscow. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Bashar Assad are also expected to meet before the election.   Stêrk Gulo, who works as a journalist in Northern and Eastern Syria, evaluated the attacks on the region and Turkey-Syria talks.   Pointing out that the attacks launched by Turkey on November 19 have continued for 45 days without interruption, Gulo said: "The attacks were carried out at a time when the hegemonic powers wanted to form an alliance in the disintegration of the region. This alliance, which wants to break up the autonomous administration, has not brought a solution for Syria and the peoples of Syria. The attacks aim to destroy the democratic autonomy that exists in Syria with the democratic nation paradigm.   'PEOPLE DISPLAYED A STRONG STANCE'   Expressing that Turkey targeted the living areas of the people in the attacks, Gulo said: "The people took a strong stance against the attacks. This will, ownership, and unity brought about the revolutionary people's war against these attacks. The region showed a strong stance today. This was not just a big message to the Turks. At the same time, it was a message to other forces in the region. People want to live in an autonomous administration."   'SYRIA IS THE SOLUTION'   Expressing that there was great condemnation of the Syria-Turkey meeting, Gulo said: “People are looking for a solution on Syri. Unless the will of Northern and Eastern Syria is recognized, there will be no solution. For this reason, invading Turkey wants to occupy some cities on the grounds of ensuring its own security. This threat continues. This is the request of the meeting in Moscow. It seems to me that what they wanted did not come out of this meeting. That's why he wants meetings at another level to take place. Bashar Assad has already said that he will not hold talks until Turkey withdraws all its forces from Syria. Turkey also has a reality that wherever it occupies, it does not come out easily. For this reason, if strong will is not shown against these invasions, Turkey will not leave these places. The Syrian people also know this. He knows the history of Turkey during the occupation. The Arab people still have not forgotten the occupation of the Ottoman Empire. For this reason, Syriac, Kurdish, Arab and Armenian peoples are uncomfortable with these, as was the case with the Adana Consensus and the National Pact project. The people are looking for a solution in the negotiations in these lands. These talks will not reach their goal unless the peoples of Syria approve."   'PEOPLES RESIST IN RESISTANCE'   Pointing to Turkey's pursuits, Gulo said: "It will not be easy for Turkey, not only in Moscow, but whatever alliance is formed from now on. The people are persistent in the resistance and have passed tough tests. The peoples of Northern and Eastern Syria take the guerrilla resistance in Zap and Orêmar as an example. "   MA / Müjdat Can
