The Swiss Federal Council answered the parliamentary questions of Claudia Friedl, Member of the National Parliament of the Socialist Party, and Nikolas Walder from the Greens on both issues.   'NOT COMPATIBLE WITH INTERNATIONAL LAW'   The response of the Federal Council is as follows: “The Swiss Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in close contact with the Turkish authorities. The Ministry immediately expressed its concerns after Turkey's airstrikes, which did not comply with international law and the UN charter. The council called on Turkey to respect its obligations under international law and to avoid civilian casualties at all costs. "Switzerland is actively working at bilateral and multilateral levels to promote peace and security in the region, including as a host country at the Geneva talks."   USE OF CHEMICAL WEAPONS   Finally, Switzerland and its partners are following the developments regarding the chemical weapons allegedly used by Turkey. It particularly trusts the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) to take a position on such accusations.”
