Attorney Enmek: Government is trying to silence the Şenyaşar family with investigations 2022-10-04 11:25:31   URFA - Attorney Hidayet Enmek, who stated that the family was tried to be silenced with the investigations opened against Emine Şenyaşar, said, "The fact that the family is exposed to investigations shows that law has been used as a weapon."   The Justice Watch sit-in started in front of the Urfa Courthouse on March 9, 2021 by Emine Şenyaşar and his son Ferit Şenyaşar who survived the attack, whose three family members were killed by the bodyguards and relatives of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız, has entered day 575th. The mother and her son started to sit-in in front of the Urfa Courthouse early in the morning again for the 575th time. The family hung banners on the concrete blocks in front of the courthouse written, "Justice for Şenyaşar family, justice for all".   Continuing her protest, Emine Şenyaşar will appear in court today as part of the lawsuit filed against her for her words during the Justice Watch. Anne Şenyaşar is charged with "insulting" the Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu and AKP's İbrahim Yıldız.   'THE GOVERNMENT IS TRYING TO SILENCE THE FAMILY'    Speaking before the hearing to be held at the Urfa 2nd Criminal Court of First Instance, Hidayet Enmek, one of the family lawyers, pointed to the family's sit-in and said, "Emine Şenyaşar's cry for justice continues to rise in front of the courthouse. This scream of the mother, which continues for the last 575 days, is tried to be silenced with 15 investigations. Some of these turned into lawsuits. An hearing will be held today. There will be a trial upon the complaint of Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu. The family's exposure to investigations shows the reality of how the law in Turkey has been used as a weapon."   Stating that the completion of the investigation into the massacre perpetrated against the family at the hospital is an indication of the lack of an effective investigation, Atty. Enmek said, “There is an investigation that has not turned into an indictment for more than 4 years. The family is staghing a sit-in for this. Today, we will continue our struggle for justice from the halls of the Criminal Court of First Instance. With this lawsuit filed against the family, we will voice our demand for justice with the loudest voice.”
