Egyptian Army Spokesperson Garib Abdulhafız announced on his social media account that they have launched a joint military exercise with Greece and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Stating that the said exercise was carried out with the participation of troops from the UAE, Greece and the Greek Cypriot Administration, as well as Saudi Arabia, Garib Abdulhafiz noted that the USA, Jordan, Democratic Republic of the Congo and Bahrain participated in the exercise as observers.   Stating that the military exercise was carried out in line with the efforts of "Egypt to develop military relations and cooperation with friendly and brotherly countries", Garib Abdulhafız stated that the exercise, in which advanced technological weapons and equipment will be used, will also contribute to the sharing of experience. 2 MORE COUNTRIES INCLUDED   The armies of Egypt, Greece and Cyprus have been conducting exercises annually since 2017. France and the United Arab Emirates are also participating in this year's exercise. It was noted that in the exercise, which will be divided into 3 separate stages, search and rescue, electronic warfare and surface exercises will be carried out.   It was noteworthy that the exercise was carried out in a period of tension in the Eastern Mediterranean between Turkey, Greece and Southern Cyprus.
