The statement of meeting with the Esad regime confused the region 2022-08-12 12:29:46   NEWS CENTER- Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu's statement that he had a meeting with the Syrian Foreign Minister was met with protests in many cities under the control of Turkey and paramilitary forces.   During the meeting in Sochi, Russian President Villademir Putin demand that AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan develop relations with the Syrian regime to solve the problems while Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavaşoğlu met with Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mikdad in Belgrade in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia.   Speaking at the press conference held on occasion of the closing of the 13th the Ambassadors Conference in Ankara and stating that he had a quick word with Syrian Foreign Minister Faysal Mikdad in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, Çavuşoğlu said: "Terrorist need to be cleared, no matter who they are. We said that there should be peace between the Syrian opposition and the regime, and we can support in such a situation and we support the territorial integrity of Syria."   When journalist asked about whether AKP President Tayyip Erdoğan will meet with Syrian President Bashar Esad, Çavuşoğlu said: "There is no such contact at the moment. For a while, there were talks between intelligences. Then there was the interruption. Now it has started again. Many issues come up in the talks between the intelligence services."   PEOPLE DEMONSTRATED FOR THE STATEMENT   The statement of Çavuşoğlu are condemned in the regions of Northern and Eastern Syrian under the control of Turkey and the paramilitary forces it supports. The thousand of people who took to the streets in İdlip, Efrîn, Ezaz, Gre Spi and many other places to protest with SMO flags. While the Turkish flag was burned in Ezaz, a checkpoint of TAF was stoned by demonstrators. The protesting groups shared on their social media that they will continue their protests today. No statement has been made yet from the Turkish authorities regarding the protest demonstrations.
