Şenyaşar family: We will not leave courthouse until justice will serve 2022-08-10 15:17:22 URFA - Şenyaşar family, who continue their struggle for justice, has been prevented from sitting at the entrance of the courthouse for 3 days. The Debuty Attorney General said the decision was old and so far there had been no interference from "goodwill".   The Justice Watch carried out by the Şenyaşar family has reached day 520. The sit-in was launched on  March 9, 2021 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives in the Suruç province of Urfa, on June 14, 2018.   THE FAMILY WAS PREVENTED   Emine Şenyaşar and his son, who wanted to start the sit-in on the stairs at the entrance of the Urfa Courthouse, were blocked on the third day as well. Dozens of police officers who came together in front of the courthouse wanted to prevent the mother and son from entering the garden to sit at the door of the courthouse.   Şenyaşar family, who entered the courthouse with their attorney Serhat Kurt, was besieged by the police. The attorney Kurt entered the courthouse to meet with the Attorney General to ask why the family had been barred from where they had lived for nearly a hundred days. The Şenyaşar family, on the other hand, wanted to sit in front of the building and continue their sit-in. However, the police prevented the family from sitting on the ground, stating that sitting is prohibited.   THE DECISION OF THE CHIEF PUBLIC PROSECUTOR   The attorney of the family, Serhat Kurt, who met with the Urfa Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor, stated that the blocking was taken a long time ago by the decision of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, and that sitting in the courthouse is prohibited. The Deputy Attorney General has claimed that they "did not intervene out of goodwill" for nearly a hundred days. Kurt stated that the deputy chief prosecutor instructed the police to be forcibly removed from the courthouse if the family was sitting inside the courthouse with or without a banner. Upon the blocking, the family started to sitting in the area called "Şenyaşar family justice corner" in front of the courthouse.   The family shared the following message on Twitter: "You don't need to be a party member or a political person to see this injustice that has been done to us. Being human is enough for seeing the injustice.”
