
Clashes intensified in rural areas of Southeastern Kurdish city Van

	VAN - It was stated that the clashes intensified in the rural areas of Gürpınar and Çatak districts of Van and the number of soldiers who lost their lives sky rocketted.

	&nbsp;

	Clashes between the soldiers and HPG members in the rural areas of Van's Gürpınar and Çatak districts continue. It was learned that the clashes took place mainly in Takun and Tirşin plateau and Silîlan regions. It was stated that the number of soldiers who lost their lives in the clashes exceeded 10 and 6 soldiers were injured. 2 of them are in serious condition. While the injured soldiers were being treated at Yüzüncü Yıl University (YYU) Dursun Odabaşı Medical Center, the soldiers who lost their lives were sent to their hometowns.

	It was also learned that 3 HPG members lost their lives during the clashes. Families applied to the prosecutor's office to recieve the bodies kept in Van Forensic Medicine Institute. However, it was delayed due to the holidays.
