A child injured by Turkish bullet coming from Serêkaniyê lost his life 2022-05-10 16:16:22   URFA - 9-year-old Yusuf Y., who was wounded in Ceylanpınar by a bullet from fired from Serêkaniyê under the control of the TAF and the SMO, lost his life.   9-year-old Yusuf Y., who was severely wounded by a bullet fired from the city of Serêkaniyê in Northern and Eastern Syria, under the control of the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) and the Syrian National Army (SMO), on May 7, lost his life.   Yusuf Y., who went to visit his grandfather's house in Urfa was seriously injured after being shot in the head by a bullet fired from 4 hundred meters away. The child's relatives, who saw that the child was shot, first took him to the State Hospital. Yusuf Y., who was transferred to a private hospital in the city center of Urfa, has been receiving treatment for 3 days. The body of Yusuf Y., who died in the hospital where he was treated today, was taken to the morgue of the Urfa Forensic Medicine Institute (ATK) Directorate for autopsy procedures. Yusuf Y. will be laid to rest in Asri Graveyard in Ceylanpınar district in the afternoon.   SCORES OF PEOPLE WERE INJURED   Turkey and groups affiliated with in like the SMO,  launched an attack on the city of Serêkaniyê, located opposite to Ceylanpınar, on October 9, 2019, under the name of "Operation Peace Spring", on the grounds of "border security". After days of fighting, the city came under the control of Turkey. However, after a while in the city, a war of booty broke out between the groups supported by Turkey. Many people were injured as a result of bullets bouncing off Ceylanpınar on the border line from time to time due to these clashes. These damages were not covered, and investigations into the injuries resulted in non-prosecution.
