The attack on Zap and Avaşîn is coordinated from the South

	ŞIRNAK -  While the attacks carried out by Turkey and KDP against Zap and Avasin are coordinated in the Federated Kurdistan Region, they are supported by military shipments, artillery and the police stations on the border of Şırnak and Hakkari.

	 

	One week before the anniversary of Turkey's attack on the Metîna and Avaşîn regions in the Federated Kurdistan Region on April 23, 2021, it launched a new attack, this time together with both regions, and the Zap region under the name "Claw-Lock". Within the scope of the attacks that continued in the second week, military shipments were made to the military units in the border region, while the attacks carried out from the ground after the air strikes from the bases of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP). It is stated that there were many military casualties during the attacks, including the Zerevan Forces, the special forces of the KDP, and the Roj gangs.

	 

	ARTILLARY FIRE AND MILITARY SHIPMENTS

	 

	Another zone in focus have been the Federated Kurdistan Region since the attacks started. While there is military activity from time to time in the villages on the border line of Hakkari and Şırnak, artillery fire is being made from border posts to areas under the control of the HPG. As always, intense measures draw attention at the checkpoints set up on the roads leading to Şırnak's borderline districts and villages, where heavy military equipment were deployed before the attacks.

	 

	NUMBER OF SOLDIERS LOSE LIVES

	 

	On the way to Uludere district, trucks carrying supplies to military bases draw attention, while silence prevails in the district center. The First Border Battalion Post, located in Elemun, one of the Uludere border villages, continues its artillery fire uninterruptedly at night. Allegedly there is also close combats near the border of the village and many soldiers lost their lives. According to the information obtained from some sources more than 40 soldiers were reported to have died.

	 

	The activity in the police stations in Uludere border villages is followed by the activity in Beytüşşebap district. Military convoys dispatched to Kato Mountain, just across the district center draws attention.

	 

	THE ATTACKS ARE COORDINATED IN THE REGION

	 

	While there are sounds of cannonfire on the border line, military shipments continue. With the cooperation of Turkey and the KDP, military bases in the Federated Kurdistan Region are being used extensively in the attack. A new front was opened in the region with the use of 73 military bases and strongholds in the Federated Kurdistan Region for offensive purposes, with the consent of the KDP. Turkey coordinates all its ongoing attacks from the Federated Kurdistan Region.
