'How will Barzani look into the eyes of mothers?'

	HAKKARI - Condemning the KDP's support for Turkey's attacks on the Federated Kurdistan Region, Peace Mothers said, "How will Barzani look into the eyes of mothers?"

	The attack launched by Turkey in the Zap, Avaşîn and Metîna regions on April 17 in partnership with the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) continues with intense clashes. Political parties, non-governmental organisations, intellectuals and artists continue condemn the attacks.

	 

	Peace Mothers, who have repeated that they are against war on every platform for years, and have been making efforts to bring peace to the country, condemned the attacks of Turkey and the partnership of the KDP and asked the Barzani family, "How will you look into our eyes?"

	 

	Gülçin Karabük, one of the Peace Mothers in Yüksekova, said, “We considered Mesud Barzani as a brother; but our worst enemy was Massoud Barzani. A Kurd does not do what he does to a Kurd. Barzani has never been honest. But Erdogan should also know that a person who is an enemy to his brother cannot be a friend to anyone else.”

	 

	'BARZANI SHOULD END THIS BETRAYAL'

	 

	Stating that there is blood of the Kurdish youth on every stone in the Kurdish geography, Karabük said, “It is my call to Turkish and Kurdish mothers, to stand up and oppose this war. Isn't it a pity for the children killed in the mountains? Turkish mothers should support us. If we unite, they cannot kill our children." 

	 

	Condemning to the KDP's attitude towards its operation, Karabuk said, "Shame on the KDP. They provided every means at their disposal to kill the Kurds. Barzani should end this betrayal.”

	 

	Condemning to the KDP's partnership with Turkey in the war, Zahide Şen said, "If Barzani had not been a traitor, Turkey would not have taken its soldiers to that region. This war will also harm Barzani. Barzani, who is the son of Mele Mustafa, one of the Kurdish elders, should come to his senses. Kurds should not commit treason against each other." 

	 

	'BARZANI WILL REGRET THIS'

	 

	Reminding the meeting of Tayyip Erdoğan and Mesrour Barzani in Ankara, Amina Engüdar also evaluated this meeting as a "shame". Condemning the KDP's role in the attack, mother Engüdar said, "Barzani will regret being involved in this attack. He will not be able to look Kurdish people in the eyes. He came to Ankara to meet with Erdoğan, isn't he ashamed? If he had been a little conscientious, he wouldn't have done this. He will regret it, but it will be too late. We condemn this situation.”

	 

	'HOW WILL THE MOTHERS LOOK INTO THE EYES?'

	 

	Condemning to the KDP's partnership with Turkey, Engüdar said, "How will Barzanii look into the eyes of mothers? This attitude of the KDP is treason and this treason is against the Kurds. Barzani is not our brother, he is  our worst enemy. If Barzani had been honest, he would have seen the Kurdish reality when he came to Ankara, he is not an honest person. Barzani must come back from this mistake."
