Emine Şenyaşar: My family was not killed by 4 people, they were lynched by a mob 2022-04-25 11:01:15 URFA - Stating that justice was not served because 4 people were arrested for the murder of her family, Emine Şenyaşar said: "All of the people who lynched and murdered my family must be punished. Our sit-in for justice will continue until my son is released."   The bodyguards and relatives of AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız attacked the Şenyaşar family in their shop in the Suruç district of Urfa on June 14, 2018 while canvassing for local elections and injured Celal, Adil, Mehmet, Fadıl and Ferit Şenyaşar. The relatives of AKP MP Yıldız attacked the family once again in Suruç State Hospital killing the father and Celal and Aydın Şenyaşar in front the hospital staff and government officials. Emine Şenyaşar witnessed the attack. During the incident, Mehmet Şah Yıldız, brother of the AKP MP was killed by a gun that could not be determined.   Within the scope of the investigation into the incident that took place in Suruç State Hospital, 11 people including AKP Deputy İbrahim Halil Yıldız's father Osman Yıldız, his elder brother Celal Yıldız, his nephews Osman Şah, Şeğsin Yıldız and his advisor were detained 4 years after the incident. It was learned that there are warrants for the detention of 43 people within the scope of the investigation. 10 people were referred to court yesterday after a day of detention. Osman Yıldız (Father of İbrahim Halil Yıldız) and Osman Şah Yıldız (nephew of İbrahim Halil Yıldız), who were brought to the Urfa Courthouse under the police blockade, were released after their statements to the prosecutor. 8 people were referred to court with a request of arrest. As a result of the hearing that lasted until late last night, the elder brothers of AKP Yıldız, Celal Yıldız, İbrahim Şimşek, Mikail Şimşek and Müslüm Yıldız, were arrested for "Deliberate killing", "Deliberate injury" and "Spoiling evidence". The court released the other 4 people, who were referred to court with a request for arrest, on the condition of "judicial control".   Emine Şenyaşar, who continued the Justice Watch with her son Ferit Şenyaşar for 413 days despite the interventions of the law enforcement officers in front of the Urfa Courthouse, evaluated the development in the case to the Mesopotamia Agency (MA) 4 years later.   MY FAMILY WAS NOT KILLED BY ONLY 4 PEOPLE   Stating that her family was not attacked by only 4 people, Emine Şenyaşar said: "It was a large mob. They brutally murdered my children. There were a lot of people in that mob. They all must be arrested. They injured my family in our shop and killed them at the hospital. The AKP MP Yıldız told the police to take all of my family members to the hospital. They took them to the hospital and killed them there."   EMİNE ŞENYAŞAR WILL CONTINUE THE SIT-IN   Reminding that they have been staging a sit-in in front of the Urfa Courthouse for 413 days for justice, Şenyaşar said: "I started that sit-in for the release of my son Fadıl. I will continue the sit-in until he is released. He is being held in a cell alone for the last four years. He was injured when he was arrested. They arrested him while he was still wounded. They wanted him dead as well. They wanted to kill us all. Enough is enough. They have to release my son. He did not kill anyone. I want to go back home and take care of my orphaned grandchildren. We want to dream about the future but we will continue the sit-in until my son is released.   CALL TO GROW SOLIDARITY   Thanking everyone for their solidarity during the sit-in, Şenyaşar said: "People stood up with us. They visited us everyday. I want to thank each and everyone of them. I also wanat to thank the lawyers. People came from outside of the city for us. I will be in front of the courthouse agains today. We want the visits for solidarity to grow. We need solidarity more than ever. I want my son Fadıl released. Her daughter is asking for her father. We say that he is at work. She believed it for a while but she is growing. She now understands that he is in prison. They killed two of my sons. They are in a grave now. My Fadıl is in prison and we are wasting away in front of the court house. My family was not killed by 4 people. They were lynched by a huge mob. I want them all punished."     MA / Emrullah Acar
