Birthday of Öcalan celebrated in Makhmur

	NEWS CENTER - PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan's birthday was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Makhmur, which is under the embargo.

	 

	The 4 April Culture and Sports Festival, which started on February 21 by the Makhmur Education Committee due to the birthday of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, continues. On the occasion of Öcalan's birthday, saplings were planted in the parks and schools of the camp early in the morning. The celebration continued at the Makhmur Culture and Art Center following the planting of the sapplings. Öcalan's birthday celebration started with a moment of silence.

	 

	Berivan Kaya, Co-Chair of the Education Committee, started her speech by emphasizing the importance of April 4 at the celebration. Expressing that they presented the festival organised by the Education Committee to Öcalan, Kaya said, “We see this day as the birthday of the Kurdish people. We celebrate Leader Apo's birthday in the spirit of March 8 and Newroz. We believe that these celebrations will lead to the physical freedom of Leader Apo. With these celebrations and the joy of our people, we give a historic answer to the enemy. We look forward to celebrating this day with Leader Apo in the coming years.”
