'What's the reason of taking finger prints of 5-year-olds? 2022-03-26 15:12:38   ANKARA - The fact that 5-year-old twins were detained and their finger prints were taken by the police during the Newroz celebrations in Diyarbakır was brought to the agenda of the parliament.    Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) MPs Remziye Tosun and Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu brought the issue about 5-year-olds being detained and their finger prints were taken by the police to the parliamentary agenda. The parliamentary questions were tabled for Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdağ and Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu to answer. The following questions were asked;    'WHAT IS THE REASON FOR TAKING THE PRINTS OF 5-YEAR-OLDS?   "* Bismil law enforcement officers told that the clothes the twins were wearing was banned. Is there a decision taken by your ministry that these clothes are banned? If so, which law is this ban based on? If there is no law, isn't it a crime to confiscate these clothes?   * Which law allows 5-year-old children to be detained? What is the reason for finger printing 5-year-old children?   * Was this practice of the law enforcement carried out by the orders of your ministry? If there is no order, will you launch an investigation against these police officers carrying out an illegal act?   * Why was the mother Zeynep B. detained? Will you stop the law enforcement officers to carry out illegal acts in Diyarbakır? Will your ministry take action in this regard?"
