	People's Defense Units (YPG) Press Spokesperson Siyabend Elî announced that the ISIS attack on Hesekê was planned 6 months ago in the Turkish-controlled cities of Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî. Speaking to the Mezopotamya Agency, Elî noted that 120 ISIS members, who were pretending to flee from the Turkish-backed paramilitary groups, were settled in Hesekê. Elî said, “The ISIS gangs we fought against from 2014 to 2019 are regrouping in Serêkaniyê and Girê Spi. They're getting training and planning attacks there."
