Police attacks labourers making a statement for May 1 in Ankara 2021-04-29 12:22:07 ANKARA - Police attacked the labor and democracy forces who wanted to make a statement about May 1 in Ankara.   The police intervened the demontration that labor and democracy organizations wanted to carry out on Sakarya Street on May 1, International Unity, Struggle and Solidarity Day. The crowd marched towards the Headquarters of the Confederation of Public Workers Unions (KESK). Police attacked the crowd that made a statement in front of the KESK.   The police used tear gas and rubber bullets and used sexist words insulting the journalists.   After the police intervention, the mass called for a meeting in front of Çankaya Municipality Building. While the police blockaded the city hall, people continue to wait.
