Kobané Case: Attorneys leaving the court room 2021-04-26 11:51:00   ANKARA - There were some tension bewteen the court board and the attorneys, when all attorneys of the case were not allowed in the court room. Attorneys protested the situation and left the court room.   The first hearing of the Kobanê Trial, in which 108 people, 28 of whom are currently detained pending trial, including the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) former Co-Chairs Figen Yüksekdağ and Selahattin Demirtaş, will be held today at the Sincan Prison Campus by the Ankara 22nd High Criminal Court.   There were some tension between the court board and the attorneys. Attorneys demanded the other attorneys who were not allowed in the court room to enter the hall and attend the hearing. Court President told that he will on no account allow the attorneys into the hall on grounds of the pandemic. Attorneys protested the situation and told that they will leave the court room and the hearing can't start without them being present at the hearing. The Court President said they were the ones to decide.   DETAINED POLITICIANS PROTESTED   Detained politicians Bülent Parmaksız, Alp Altınörs, Günay Kubilay, Nezir Çakan, Mesut Bağçık, Zeki Çelik, Ayşe Yağcı, Bircan Yorulmaz, Dilek Yağlı, Emine Ayna, Emine Beyza Üstün, Pervin Oduncu, Sibel Akdeniz, Ayla Akat Ata did not respond to the court board when their names were read as well as the detained politicians who attend the hearing via Audio and Video Information System (SEGBIS).   Detained politicians continue to protest the situation by applausing the court board while attorneys banged on the benches. The discussion between the attorneys and the court board continues.    Lawyers of the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Internal Affairs officials, lawyers of Yasin Börü, AKP and Free Cause Party lawyers, and the lawyers of the General Director of Police were also present in the courtroom.
