Police attack against 'National Unity' demo in Van 2021-01-08 13:44:59 VAN - Police who blockaded the demo Democratic Regions Party (DBP) was going to held in the Feqiyé Teyran Park in Van regarding the national unity, attacked the crowd with gas bombs and water cannons.    Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-Chair Bedran Öztürk, DBP Co-Chairs Saliha Aydeniz and Keskin Bayındır and a large number of HDP MPs were there to attend the demo.    THOUSANDS STARTED MARCHING   Hundreds of people prevented from getting inside the park, gathered in the allies. The crowd got more crowded as they waited at the ally. When the HDP people understood that the negotiation would not work, thousands started to march to the İpekyolu District Organization building.   The police attacked the people marching with slogans at the Beşyol district, with gas bombs, tear gas and water cannons. Responding the attack with slogans, the crowd reached the party building.    DTK Co-Chair Bedran Öztürk is addressing the crowd in front of the party building.
