Constitutional court rejects Kavala's appeal 2020-12-29 14:05:45   ANKARA - Constitutional Court decided that the personal freedom and security of Osman Kavala has not been violated.   Constitutional Court (AYM) decided that the personal freedom and security of Osman Kavala who was acquitted and released from the Gezi Protests case but remains in prison in the espionage case, has not been violated.   Evaluating the decision on December 15, Constitutional Court decided to refer the case to General Assembly. Having decided on Osman Kavala's personal appeal, the Constitutional Court decided that Kavala's freedom and security has not been violated.   Another individual application previously filed by Kavala's lawyers for "violation of the right to liberty and security due to the fact that the arrest measure is not legal, the access to the investigation file is restricted, and the detention investigations are carried out without being brought before the judge / court" was rejected by the General Assembly of the Constitutional Court on 22 May 2019
