Who wants what in Ain Issa 2020-12-21 11:43:47   AIN ISSA - The attacks against Ain Issa which Turkey guaranteed it won't attack with the Sochi Agreement continue. WHile SDF responds by resisting the attacks, which is the guarantor of the agreement, is content with following the Syrian regime's interest.   The attacks of Turkey and the groups affiliated with it continue in Ain Issa in North and East Syria. Syrian Democratic Forces that responds to the attacks of the groups came together under the roof of Syrian National Army (SMO) by resisting the attacks, have been able to stop the attacks so far. The Syrian regime and the forces of Russia continue to remain unresponsive to the attacks. This silence is interpreted as Russia provoked the attacks.   THE ATTACKS ARE STOPPED WITH RESISTANCE   While the attacks at the east and west countryside of Girê Spî, the center of Ain Issa and its villages are carried out by Turkish Armed Forces (TSK), the groups gathered under the roof of Syrian National Army (SMO) tries to advance from the land. The attacks intensify around Ain Issa, its villages and the M+ Highway. Groups like Ehrar El Şerqîye, Hamza Division, Süleyman Şah Brigades and Sultan Murat Brigade lead these attacks. But the attacks from three sides have been stopped by the SDF so far.   The people of North and East Syria's Euphrates region have set up tents and started a sit in against possible attacks. Many people from Raqqa, Manbij, Tabqa and Kobanê attend the sit in in the tents set up right next to the Russian base.   TAF BACKED ATTACK   Armed groups that received reconnaissance support from the Turkish Armed Forces in the attacks shifted its forces to Ain Issa. These groups demanding more support from the TAF are preparing for a new attack. The heavy weapons given by the TSK can be seen at the fronts in question.   TURKEY WANTS M4   Turkey and Russia continues to hold talks about Ain Issa and other districts. Turkey wants to patrol the M4 from Ain Issa to Til Temir despite the Sochi agreements as well as SDF to stop defending itself around Ain Issa. SDF does not accept both demands.   RUSSIA IS UNRESPONSIVE   While the talks continue, Russia continues to be unresponsive to the attacks despite the Sochi agreement. Revealing its real intentions with the talks Russia hold with the SDF, it uses the attacks of Turkey and the groups affiliated with it as a bargaining chip.   Russia that wants the control of the region, especially Ain Issa to be given to the Syrian regime, gives the message that Turkey will continue its attack if this does not happen. Instead of fulfilling its responsibilities Russia assumed in the region, Russia who provokes Turkey and the groups affiliated with it, it tries to get results this way. Russia confirmed that it will remain unresponsive to the attacks in the talks it held with Turkey.     MA / Nazım Daştan
