Mothers laying down their white scarves for national unity: Enough is enough 2020-12-08 09:37:32 HAKKARİ - Peace Mothers who laid down their white scarves for the national unity of the Kurds, stated that the policies of the KDP is only serving those who is against the Kurds and said 'Enough is enough'.   The military and political decisions of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, which dominantly rules the Federated Kurdistan Region causes reactions of the public. The KDP, which has imposed an embargo on the Mahmur Camp since 17 July 2019, has been establishing new checkpoints by shifting special forces to the Garê and Metina regions, especially Zinî Wertê. With the Shengal agreement signed with the Iraqi central government on 9 October, the KDP targets the administration based on the self power of the Êzidîs. Kurdish party, non-governmental organizations and formations, which are reactive to all these developments, warn that the steps in question damage the national unity.   The Peace Mothers, who called for peace and dialogue laid down their white scarves, which historically ends the blood shed between tribes, in Hakkari's Yüksekova district on December 2, for the establishment of the national unity.   Speaking on the issue, Peace Mother Güle Polar said KDP Chair Mesut Barzani is on a wrong way and he should immediately abandon that road. Stating that everyone will suffer from a possible conflict, reminded that only those who are against the Kurds will benefit from that conflict. Polat said Barzani is hostile against his own people and added: "If Barzani wants war, he should fight against those who wants to annihilate the Kurds. We laid down our white scarves to end this war. Enough is enough."
