
Police attacks journalist during protest against rape in Van

	VAN- Police attacked TJA Van components protesting the rape of a child in Gercüş, Batman and forcefully removed the journalists from the area.

	Police attacked the components of Tevgera Jinên Azad (TJA) protesting the rape of a 15 year old child by 27 law enforcement officers. The group that gathered in front of the Peoples 'Democratic Party (HDP) Van Provincial Organization, including TJA activists and Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Van Deputy Murat Sarısaç, provincial and district administrators, was blocked by the police.

	Stating that they would not allow the statement to be read, the police insulted HDP MP Murat Sarısaç and attacked the crowd with batons.

	&nbsp;

	Meanwhile reporters of our agency and Jinnews reporters were battered by the police and forcefully removed from the area. Police tried to confiscate the cameras of the journalists.
