Ill-treatment of prisoners on hunger strike 2020-12-05 13:54:10 ESKİŞEHİR – It was stated that the prisoners on hunger strike in Eskişehir Type H Closed Prison were mistreated. Families of the prisoners stated that the wards are being raided 3 times a day and even the papers and pens were confiscated.   The hunger strike of the PKK and PAJK prisoners demanding the isolation of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan is on its 9th day. Father of hunger striker Emrecan Demir told that the prisoners are not given sugar, fruit juice and other basic needs.   Demir said: "My son told me that there are 11 prisoners in their ward and their ward is being raided 3 times a day. Even their books, papers and pens were confiscated."   Demir shared the information that cleaning materials are also not being given to the prisoners despite the pandemic.    Emrecan Demir who was on a hunger strike for 106 days back in 2019, has sent a message and said: "Our hunger strike will continue until the isolation in İmralı is terminated."
