HDP to announce 'Declaration of Peace' 2020-08-29 10:53:17   ANKARA - HDP, which will end the "Democratic Struggle Program" with the "chain of peace" actions to be held in 8 centers on September 1, will announce a "Declaration of Peace" on August 31, which includes calls for all political parties and segments of society.   Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) has reached the final stage of the three-stage "Democratic Struggle Program" within the scope of the "New Era Strategy Attitude Document" announced to the public on June 1st. HDP marched from Edirne and Hakkari to Ankara with the slogan of "Democracy Against Coup", which was the first stage of the campaign, and in the second stage, it visited political parties, non-governmental organizations, associations and trade unions with the slogan of "Democracy Meetings" and held public meetings in many cities.   Leaving the first two phases of the campaign behind, HDP launched the third phase of the campaign in Mardin and Istanbul with the slogan "Together against war, freedom against isolation" on August 19. Within the scope of the peace and isolation themed campaign, public meetings were held in Antep, Ağrı, Muş, Bursa, Muğla and Manisa between 20-28 August with the participation of the party's Co-Chairs. In addition, the Democratic Society Congress (DTK), Peoples' Democratic Congress (HDK) and Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Co-Chairs and the components of HDP attended the meetings organized in multiple cities.   On September 1, World Peace Day, the final of the campaign will be held in Istanbul, Diyarbakır, İzmir, Van, Adana, Antalya, Ankara and Urfa with the 'Peace Chain' events. HDP Co-chair Pervin Buldan will participate the event in İstanbul while, other Co-Chair Mithat Sancar will participate the event in Ankara. DTK Co-Chair Leyla Güven will be attending the event in Diyarbakır while DBP Co- Chair Saliha Aydeniz will be in Adana. DBP Co- Chair Keskin Bayındır will be at Urfa, attending the same event. The Co-Chairs will be accompanied by the party's Central Executive Committee (MYK) and Party Assembly (PM) members, and MPs.   PEACE DECLARATION   Before the final actions, on August 31, HDP Co-Chairs Pervin Buldan and Mithat Sancar will announce a "Declaration of Peace", which includes calls to all political parties and all segments of society.   MA / Diren Yurtsever
