Objection to the figures announced by Minister Koca: 15 people died in a single hospital in Diyarbakır 2020-08-28 14:26:16   DİYARBAKIR - The Diyarbakır Medical Association has announced that 15 people died of COVID-19 in the Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital today and called on the Ministry of Health to take measures.   Sharing a series of messages on Twitter today (August 28), the Diyarbakır Medical Association has announced that 15 people died of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in a single hospital in Diyarbakır in a day.   The chamber has raised concerns that the failure to announce the number of cases and fatalities by provinces and the portrayal of these numbers lower than they actually are lead people to be complacent.   The chamber has shared the following messages:   "The outbreak is out of control and the responsibility has been entirely placed on the shoulders of the people and health workers. Our seriously ill COVID-19 patients who need to be followed up at hospitals are forced to be treated at home as there are no beds available in hospitals.   "We call on the ministry to take measures to decrease social mobility by abandoning economic considerations and meeting the needs of society and to take urgent measures to offer the necessary inpatient bed availability.   "The data that we obtain from our colleagues do not match the statements of the authorities. We are once again calling on the authorities to carry out the process in a transparent manner, care about public health and act responsibly."
