October 10 massacre trial: Ministry will be asked to issue a "red notice" for the fugitive ISIS members 2020-07-16 18:10:29 ANKARA - The 5th hearing of the October 10 massacre trial was held in Ankara 4th Heavy Penal Court on Thursday. The court ruled to order a statement to the Ministry of Justice to issue an Interpol notice for the fugitive suspects. Two ISIS suicide attackers launched a bombed attack ahead of the Peace, Democracy and Labor meeting attempted to be held in Ankara on October 10, 2015, resulting in the killing of 103 activists who were there to attend the massive rally. The 5th hearing of this massacre trial, known as October 10 massacre trial that 16 fugitive suspects and imprisoned Erman Ekici who was charged with "crime against humanity" are prosecuted, was held in Ankara 4th Heavy Penal Court on Thursday. The court ruled a statement to be written and sent to the Ministry of Justice to issue a "red notice" for all 16 fugitive suspects.  KEY NAME BEHIND MASSACRES HOLD BY SDF IN A SYRIAN CAMP The court also ruled that another warrant to be issued for the fugitive suspects named Mustafa Delibaşlar, his wife Fadile Delibaşlar, Cebrail Kaya and İlhami Balı who are exposed to be in some "camps in Syria" as the new intelligence documents added in the case file reveal. The names of the camps are not yet known, but it was stated that 4 fugitive suspects, including İlhami Balı, the key name of the massacre, were hold in camps controlled by Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Syria. İlhami Balı is known to be the one of the key names of the trial who is known to plan and give the order of the dark chain of bombing attacks in Turkey conducted in Diyarbakır on June 5, in Suruç, Urfa on July 22 and in Ankara on October 10, all in 2015. Turkish Ministry of Interior has previously issued a "red notice" for Balı. The hearing was postponed to September 21. UNTIL THE JUSTICE IS SERVED After the hearing, the families and the lawyers of 103 activists who lost their lives in the massacre read a press statement in front of the courthouse. Emphasizing the importance of the fugitives to be brought back to Turkey Eylem Sarıoğlu, a lawyer from the October 10 Lawyers Commission, said, "In this session we especially demanded from the judge to find out in which camp İlhami Balı currently is and to ensure that he is handed over and put on trial in Turkey. So our main focus was to make the court to take a step to put the fugitive suspects on trial here. However our demands were not fully met in the current stage." Stating that with each new document they discovered through the trial process they have been chasing for years, the responsibles of the massacre are revealed even more Sarıoğlu said, "We declare that we will continue our struggle and continue this solidarity until the the true responsibles are prosecuted and the fugitives face trial and give the account of their crimes here in Turkey. We will be here on September 21 and we will continue to raise our voice until the justice is served."
