Many detained as police attack HDP delegation in Van

	VAN - Turkish police continue to prevent HDP groups from staging their march from Hakkari -in eastern Turkey- and Tekirdağ -in western Turkey- to Ankara to highlight their demand for democracy, justice and peace.

	Police attacked the HDP delegation that left Hakkari earlier today and arrived in Van in the afternoon as part of the ‘March for Democracy against the Coup’ campaign which is set to continue to Turkish capital Ankara.

	HDP co-chair and other members of the party were met with crackdown as they got off their cars after arriving in Van city center.

	While many people were taken into custody, the deputies were also subjected to police violence. Tension continues in the city center.
